Slight clarification: -The two cheaper screen protectors, don't claim to be level 9 in hardness specifically, but claim to be "9H". The point I should have added is that 9H is not the same as 9, and that 9H is MUCH weaker, but is used by these companies because it sounds a lot like "level 9", when it actually isn't - which you'll see demonstrated in the video. Tempered glass saved my phone ones. I bought the phone and I wanted to buy a soft screen protector but the girl at the shop adviced me to get tempered glass instead so I did. Funny enough after two weeks later my phone was in my coat pocket and the coat pocket was hanging by the side of the car seat then I closed the door in a hurry, then I found out the the bottom right of my screen was cracked (that what I thought) and my heart was broken. My mom was checking the phone and decided to peal the tempered glass and for the surprice the phone's screen was intact. So get my advice and get a tempered glass for your phone if you don't have one unless if you have crazy tough screen.

9H is the measure of its hardness - in relation to pencil lead. Not 9 on Mohs Scale.

I work in a phone store and in the inventory, I can see what we pay for each item. We spend anywhere from $0.50 - $3 on tempered glass screen protectors and sell them between $9.99-19.99 depending on the sale... the mark upon tempered glass is amazing along with the liquid glass garbage we sell. they pay $1.50-$2.66 for it and sell it for $14.99-$29.99. Just a little food for thought

How much the S. Company paid you to sell there tempered glass. I have 2$ T.glass and it’s working fine. For extra protection guys you better cases. They will be bulky, but surely gives great protection. They are many companies selling good solid cases. Google them.

Well I know not to hover and release bricks over my phone. Make the test more practical like a a-hole who throws your phone down the street or something like that. Screen protectors are not made to prevent crushing. Still though, I like your video's

Just got a S21 Ultra, out of the box it has a clear plastic cover. Don't even see the point in removing it as it works just fine and was already perfectly applied. Just used good old cling wrap on my S9+ as was the only thing that worked reliably on the crappy curved glass screens.

I thought it would create a decoy off it self so it would get smashed whlle the phone with saphhire screen protector would reapear in your pocket... Kinda disapointing. You should have made a platform from 1.2 meters and pushed them off from there for more accurate testing useage. Because thats the avarege hight most people use handheld gadgets

Isn’t it possible that the scratches on the first and second from the hardness picks (at around 4 min 20 seconds) compromised the integrity of the screen protector? Hence the hammer had an effect on 1 and 2? Like when Elon Musk threw the metal ball at the “unbreakable” glass on the Tesla truck? It broke the glass. Explanation was that hitting it with a hammer earlier compromised its integrity. Discuss.

A more scientific way on final test would be to drop a ball bearing or marble through a piece of pipe of same length for each test. Could use a few different lengths of PVC from the hardware store if more impact is desired. It should be obvious that doing various abrasion and drop tests by hand is not ideal.

I think the moral of this test is not really about price I think that it says that we should care about what an individual product gives (so gather information about his "technology" and view tests) Because we saw that brands plays with price for nothing, so that can't be a good indicator You should look for a precise model and being sure about his performance

I would still buy cheap one around $10 and take care of it and happy to replace few times in 2-3 years. I use my phone for courier work and had one on phone last three months and absolutely fine. And a joke for all You started Apple to think about making their own screen protectors because you were able to convince people to spend $80 on screen protector 😂

So basically, you either spend as little as possible or as much as possible, no in between. The $1 one has 2 protectors and is just as protective as the $40 one, so the $1 protector is clearly of better value. the $80 protector is very protective but expensive as hell. Personally, I've never cracked a phone, only ever scratched and I've never bought a screen protector because at the Verizon store and whatnot they're really expensive and I've never cared. If you're like me and don't crack phones, the $1 seem like the best value because if it gets too scratched, just rip it off and put on another. For $1 you might as well buy another for each scratch

On a serious note that sapphire protector seems a too many money, I'M GOING PLASTIC, I'm fed up with razor sharp chips from glass protectors, plastic ones work perfectly, my last one lasted 4 years, my new glass protector lasted 4 months.
